Last week (and yesterday once again) Haïti got hit hard by an earthquake. The images and stories went global in no time and the consequences are shocking to say the least. Widespread damage resulted from the quake. One of the poorest countries, having been hit by hurricanes and floods throughout its history, is devastated once again.
As fund-raising is picking up speed, Belgium unites its efforts with Haïti Lavi 1212, an umbrella for many aid organisations (Unicef, Oxfam, Caritas, …). You can find all necessary info on their website.
In order to spread the word a simple banner was devised by us. Feel free to embed it on your blog/website in order to spread the word.

Last week, as you might have previously read, the grand finale for the shrimp cook-off was held in Kookeiland. No snowfall and icy roads could stop the finalists and in the end Keukenweetjes was victorious. We hope Fons will enjoy his weekend at the Waddenzee and hope none of the other contestants were too disappointed
In the meantime we would like to also draw your attention to Gentblogt.be and their campaign for Music for Life. Just as last year they opened up their blog for advertisers. All profits will go to Studio Brussels and the Red Cross in their fight to stop malaria.
Just as last year, we could not resist and devised a banner of our own

A while back we were asked by RCA to help them promote the Crangon Crangon (commonly known as the brown or sand shrimp). Besides their fresh website and blog the Dutch fishery agency wanted to highlight these shrimps of the North Sea by reaching out to the blogosphere.
In order to do so, a competition was devised with a simple scope. Throughout a 4 week period bloggers were invited to make and share an original yet tasty dish incorporating shrimps. The best recipes, judged by chef Felix Alen, were eligible for a spot in the grand finale where they will compete for a great weekend at the Waddenzee with friends or family.
Recipes in of all colours and flavours reached us. No ordinary tomates crevettes, but often creative and refreshing creations, proving once again your average blogger knows how to think out of his/her lunchbox.
Curious to see who will be crowned the queen or king of shrimps at the final cook-off which will be held on thursday the 17th of december at Kookeiland in Deurne. We wish the final contestants (Ntone, SasvanGent, Minorissues, Hungryfeelings, Coolinary & Keukenweetjes) the best of luck.
For a while now J&B has been hosting parties across the globe under the “start a party“-flag. This time they would be flying out the lucky few to Ushuaia in Argentina. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the coordinates of this spot, its the most southern region in the world.
People from across the world were invited or had won a spot for this party extravaganza. In a five day period, they were flown to Buenos Aires, headed down to Ushuaia for a quick visit and party and did some sightseeing.
Together with the people over at NOYZ (Isobar), we thought out a small-scale campaign in the Belgian blogosphere for their client J&B (Diageo). Blogger/photographer/reporter and Echanté hero Alex Deforce was invited to join in on the fun and a similar concept of what we did for Club Med was developed…

Alex would send us images throughout his journey which we’d give a spot in banners carefully positioned across the Enchanté network. This J&B branded banner randomly selected 3 images and once clicked upon, traffic got diverted to Alex’ latest blogpost, giving readers the inside story on his experiences or latest photo report.

Although finding a cellphone signal or getting online was not the easiest of jobs at the end of the world, his photos, blogposts, facebook updates and tweets got through to Belgium and delivered a significant amount of feedback. Blogposts were read, comments were made across different platforms, tweets got retweeted and many ‘likes’ followed. A nice project illustrating how brands and companies can get in touch with people, using the right tone of voice, through social media.
Last year, when Music for Life moved to Ghent for the first time, Gentblogt opened their doors for advertisers of all shapes and sizes. This year (from December 19 through December 24) they will be pitching in to help the cause once again as Studio Brussel will be gathering funds for the Red Cross to fight a silent killer: malaria.
Lions, sharks or crocodiles are not the deadliest animals that roam our earth… the mosquito and malaria is. Each year this disease results in over a million, easily prevented, deaths worldwide. This makes it the second largest cause of death in Africa after HIV/AIDS, the fifth globally even.

But what is Gentblogt offering exactly: bannering, product or company reviews, … On top, left or right, small or big… anything goes from December 19 through December 24. Throughout the entire week their platform will be at your disposal for all your advertising needs at rock-bottom prices.
Last years campaign resulted in € 2.302 which they could donate to the cause. But lets be honest here, we know you can do better this year. So, if you’re interested just drop them a line. What are you waiting for!
Reckon it is about time I properly introduce myself. Since 1985 I go by the name of Andrew Vassallo, but people often simply call me Dre. Still green behind my ears, I earned my first stripes as a youth trend researcher and coolhunter. Now I found my way to Adhese.
A quick round up of ‘that guy‘ who will be helping Stefan in the future. Born in Malta, raised in Belgium, I discovered soon in life that advertising and the internet was something that could draw my attention and interest me. Besides this, I have a passion for sneakers, street art and everything else relating to youth culture. I blog. I tweet.
Guess we will get to know each other better in the future, but in the meantime there is only one thing that rests for me to say: nice to meet you all. Enchanté one might even say.
Apparently some of the Enchanté Heroes are getting a lot of requests from advertisers and do not longer want to handle these proposals themselves. It is kind of flattering that we were asked to create a button linking to us, so advertisers can be diverted in our direction. Something we never wanted to do ourselves in the past, but when explicitly asked for it, hey, here it is.
Great post by Jim Spanfeller on Online Publishers and the pricing of their Ad Inventory. Essential reading.
The great people from Emakina asked us to seed some Nescafé samples and to announce their Design your Cup campaign to a selection of bloggers.
