It is always fun to introduce new Heroes. Two new Heroes today.

First one is schuppe.be, Tom Bernaerd’s personal Blog. Student life, music, etc.. Check it!

The second one is ‘De Jager‘ reporting on Belgian politics and media in a very direct way. The federal elections on the 10th of june in Belgium are getting close and the closer they get, the more ‘De Jager’ has to write about. I am excited to see what will be posted between now and the 10th of june.

Enjoy both of them. Both blogs are in Dutch btw.

Youtube camp 2

Ok, it has been more then a month after my first Youtube camp post, we need another one. Two camp posts, two French songs … I am beginning to see a pattern. Enjoy! Sing along!

Note: Too bad they only show the cool interior only the first couple of secs.

*New* Adhese Scout

Adhese Scout is an Adhese white label service which allows customers to spread their job opportunities to a precisely targeted audience.

the Bees and their Hives

Ine Matuvu.nu strikes again. Behive – a webmagazine on Belgian culture – is our latest addition to the Design league. Behive seems to be a Belgian online version of Wallpaper* Magazine. Art, Design, Food, Leisure, Lifestyle and Travel … the essentials to quality living! Enjoy!

Objection your honor

Matt Murdock is the perfect example of the lawyer as a hero. At Enchanté we have our league of legal Heroes. The latest member of this league is Brussels Legal – The Information portal for Brussels’ international legal community.

Another legal Hero – with two blogs – is Els Van Eeckhaut. Her personal blog and  her juridical blog make her an instersting Hero.

really (pause) relax

As some of you may have read over the weekend, some controversy rose after John’s posts and comments.

We at Enchanté haven’t commented on this discussion yet, although I did send an email to John yesterday, clarifying some points he was addressing. I just would like to summarize this below, to share our view on this.

First, on the numbers:

All the campaigns we are currently running were not sold to our advertisers by volume, number of visitors or impressions. We sell campaigns per week and per blog. Each blog is individually chosen by the advertisers, and reported upon after the campaigns. Many advertisers work with a third party server and can keep track of exact results themselves.

Secondly, on the conditions (AUP, code of… whatever you want to call it)

We currently do not accept public subscriptions yet. We are working on a subscription interface that will indeed contain conditions concerning the placement of ads, the url’s or domains ads can run on etc…
The main idea behind these conditions is exactly to be able to maintain quality, while making the network grow.
Along the conditions, Enchanté can exclude bloggers, and bloggers can refuse campaigns, fair is fair.

As most of you know, we are growing and finding our place with Enchanté. We’re definitely following the discussions with great interest, and of course remarks and suggestions are definitely welcome.

That’s it for now. More as soon as the site goes up.

When electricity meets water

While filling the coffee machine this morning, we spilled some water (as usual) but this time we hit the machine’s plug and boom … cold coffee (and no electricity). Relax. Don’t panic, the machine survived and our coffee was only for a minute or so in a non-heating state. Code red cleared.

Important note: Get a new extension cord, so that we can remove the coffee machine from the floor behind the desk of one of our office-mates.
